Meil (Vestido) Para Sefer Tora
The Torah Cover, often called "The Mantle of the Law", while not being a sacred object in itself, is used to protect and visually adorn the most sacred object of all – the Torah itself. For this reason Torah Covers are usually made of thick velvet with either a back or a side vent used to put on and remove the Torah cover. The top holes, through which the scroll-handles of the Torah Scroll are inserted, are sometimes reinforced with reinforcement-rings. Typically, the Torah Cover will also have an emroidery (usually hand-made) the topic of which may be an excerpt or quotation of the Book, as well as dedications and commemorations of the individual who commissioned the Torah Scroll.
The embroidery on the velvet, whether regular or hand made, is invariably of the highest quality, making our Torah Covers an aesthetic treat worthy of the Book. Different designs both customized and existing, modern or traditional are available. All of our Torah Covers are made in Jerusalem by various gifted artists with exquisite taste.
The Torah scroll adorned with our Torah Cover will be a great beautification of your Aron Kodesh. The Torah Covers we offer are a gem of distinct taste, a visual counterpart to the spiritual splendor which is the Torah, a garment worthy of the Book. Feast your eyes and impress your congregation with our quality Torah Covers. We would be happy to accommodate you with a variety of ready designs for the embroidery, or let you customize your own design. In either case we are certain the Torah Cover of your choice will enrich the service greatly.
